Thanks Mr. Suresh Oberoi for your considered reply. more
Thanks I will study it more
Good SOP to start with, but people will try to bypass it as charges proposed for gathering of 500-50000 is Rs 50000, which is exorbitantly high if a function is holding around 1000, may be nominal for the function where gathering is 40,000. So some more slabs have to be added. more
Even Swachh Bharat contacts are not available here in Pondicherry- Who to contact in Municipality? Please let me have their contacts. more
SOP is not 'Statement of Procedure' but is an acronym for 'STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE' It is a nice initiative and needs to be issued and then followed as a minimum guideline and modified upwards to the local and the needs of the occasion. Yes, it is true that our 'Municipal Bodies' are corrupt but we need to accept that these have reached where they currently are because of our apathy and lack of action to correct. Unless, we do our part of reporting the matters where there is an inaction at the lower level to the next level of officers and be involved with them by giving them feedback and do our part of the work--in the area of 'SWATCHHA BHARAT' by not littering and segregating the wastes, the things will not change. more
