Some learnings from the Russia-Ukraine war that would be useful for India

1. Having the best defense systems is just so important. There was a time when many countries in the world imposed sanctions on India for conducting nuclear tests. With neighbors like China, Pakistan and Afghanistan, it was so imp that we build our defense prowess and our Modi Sarkar has rightly done that. We need to continue to strengthen our defense mechanisms

2. Becoming and being AtmaNirbhar in food and fuel is so important for us. Looks like importing fuel is going turn more expensive and risky with each passing day. Somehow, we need to brainstorm and develop indigenous alternative fuels.

3. Basic self defense training. Seeing that how training is being given to civilians to fight, it might be a good idea that all citizens in India take basic training in how to fight enemies (no ownership of weapons, just basic training on how to attack towards self-defense.) more

Nature has matured. Earth has matured . But, World has not matured . This is a World of War(s) and Peace(s) in the passage of time. So long as War and Peace are friends , there are immaterial-issues . But, when War and Peace are enemies , there are non-immaterial-issues. When John Kerry , the American, campaigned for de-Russiaunization of Ukraine instead of Climate Change Sciences , less bothered was the World. Now, the World after burning its fingers, stretching hands for softer Leaves . more
No military powers and nuclear weapons alone would be proved enough in such crisis unless the common men and the opposition political parties of a country stand behind the government whole heartedly forgetting all their ideological differences and personal grievances. As several other members have rightly pointed patriotism is one of the most important factors to meet with any such crisis. more
How will you defend by WhatsApp and Facebook users youths, they don’t know what is Patriotism, they don’t have strong body, not doing physical exercise, starting from politicians they should be first physically fit and patriotism. more
A very good observation Sandhya. Our current leadership has rightly identified shortcomings and have started correcting it. Be it Border Infrastructure, Procurement of New Arms and Ammunition, Buying latest tech weapons, increasing morale of Armed forces as well as creating respectability for them in common man's eyes, Emphasis on manufacturing weapons and other things locally as far as possible. I was full of awe and praise the moment our prime minister took up cleanliness and toilet issue on 15th August 2014. Even such basic issues got neglected so far. Now, taking up the issue of potable water distribution to all. These are eye openers as to what our leaders should have taken up long ago. Regarding Oil Import, Our current leadership has rightly started focusing on Electric Vehicles and we are well on course for a change over from Petrol/Deasel based transportation to Electric Transportation. This will help us a lot on import front. more
Lack of patriotism and discipline among citizens is resulting in break up of countries. Earlier period NCC used to inculcate . Lack of patriotism and discipline in politicians and in public is because NO TRAINING AT ANY STAGE. 2year Army's training should be made compulsory. In Perticular for POLITICIANS.LOOK AT HISTORY INDISCIPLINED & MAD POLITICAL BRAINS ALWAYS SPOIL THE COUNTRY.We can learn from History. The earlier rulers made the military weak with out ammunition. more
