Some CAs still facilitating direct tax corruption

The government has made income tax assessments faceless for the first 2 steps so that the assessee does not know their income tax officer in the case.

However some chartered accountants seem to have cracked the system and they have insiders now helping them find out who their assessing officer is and then facilitation is being done regarding the case and many officers are getting bribed.

Somehow Government has to fix ethics at junior level. Unless that happens these details will keep getting leaked and those bribing will keep getting away after evading taxes.

Inspite of stern action, all sorts of people indulge in unethical a d illegal practices - be it CAs, Advocates, Doctors, govt officials and private businessmen/employees. This is a never ending game. We should keep on making efforts to minimize this menace. Crime can never be vanished from this world by any power. Even God will fail. more
Faceless application processing is my anti-corruption Idea sent via twitter to Modi Govt. Later finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced in her Budget speech. Later spreac to many govt institutes like RTO. Faceless process is to avoid applicant and touts/officers pity that CAs found loophole and blame govt and software. It must have done my higher officers level only and can be fixed by suitable software remedy. system can be made foolproof and oversight/investigation friendly to avoid misuse. more
This is a very NAIVE Argument and it's becoming very convenient to put blame at CA doorstep & this is brainwork of our noble PM SHRI NARENDRA MODI ? To begin with online tax return filing started in AY 2008-09 and even after 15 years despite humungous crores payment to topnotch software companies TAX PORTAL IS FULL, OF GLITCHES to give example demands of 143(1) pursued when order under 143(3) on record, Response given to Outstanding Demand is LOST IN TRANSIT, Tax Credit C/F wasn't understood and still grey area ! DO UNDERSTAND ROBOTS COMPUTERS CAN NEVER REPLACE HUMAN BRAIN, A FACT LOST ON OUR NOBLE PM & CA'S TARGETTED FOR NO REASON. more
