Smoking in public place

No one should be permitted to smoke on the road side. For ensuring this Police in Civil dress must be posted near all small shops on the road side and charged with heavy fine. more

Several people walk along the road as an exercise in the morning. If people are smoking it will be harmful for these people. more
What I feel that if Govt. will involve this kind of minor activities then what about other major crimes. Why I told this is minor becoz smoking at road side is not harmful for others but smoking in public place is injurious to other.so for that we have to take a step to complain police against the smoker. If every where we will think that is police duty and Govt. duty ,why should I bother then we can not change anything. But I can request govt. or police should help and corporate people those who are taking the initiative. more
Once I asked a policemen who was on petro in their vehicle, in Mumbai, to ask a person to stop smoking. The policeman said he cant do it, since he is smoking with his money, and moreover he did not know if he could ask him to stop...? What do you aexpect ? I am in Taiwan for a short perioud, Penalty for smolking in prohibited area is rs rs 4000 to Rs 10000. ....we cant even penalyse for rs 100...? more
@leena Smoking cigar is like a addictive.People cannot give up by themselves. So govt should take action to stop them more
Dear Vijayan, why Govt for everything? One should have a social responsibility and respect, so these habits one can drop. more
