Shatabdi comfort goes for a toss

After the introduction of Vande Bharath, Shatabdi's services have taken a back seat. Chennai - mysore shatabdi - dirty toilets, too much of sudden Jerks. This is in executive class.
Railways need to keep up their services, not downgrade them when something new comes along. Afterall, the cost has not been reduced.
Adding an executive chair car in Double decker would make the journey comfortable for those who can afford. more

The Railway Minister should personally ensure that the popularity & reputation of the prestigious train (Shatabdi) are not compromised under any circumstances and pretext. more  
Vande Bharat's positives - from a traveller's empirical experience:- 1. Speed approximately 140 km/hr, doing Delhi Varanasi 770 kms distance in 7 hours! 2. Automatic concourse flush doors - A first. 3. Smooth running, free of jerks. 4. Vaccuum toilets - clean. 5. At Rs.1740 a seat, seats all sold! Reasonable pricing. Successful commercially. Overall positive. more
