Seasonal Tastes at Westin, IFFCO Chowk, Gurgaon.
The ambience & décor are nice but nothing extraordinary.
We were there for dinner & opted for the buffet although one can go for 'a la carte' as well. The variety of stuff available is pretty good but at Rs. 2400/- ++ (almost Rs. 3200/- including taxes & service charges etc) it had better be !
The food was just about ok. Nothing stood out. What did stand out was the apathy of the cooking staff. A lot of the items were cold although it was just 9 PM - nowhere near winding-down time.
Roasted Sea Bass, Sea Salt Crusted Red Snapper, Dal Mutton, Grilled Chicken -- all were quite cold.
The Tempura was a disaster. It was soggy & cold ! Tempura in any case is not a good choice for a buffet as it must be crisp, fresh & hot.
Their desserts need a lot of work. For example, the Date Baked Custard tasted like just plain cream & the Phirni was iffy.
All in all, for 3200/- each we could have had a far far better meal elsewhere. more

Seems like a good offer from Westin however (at my age) I do not have the appetite for it- mostly random restaurant outings is what I prefer....Good to see the reviews, though- thanks everyone! more

Hi . I and my family are regular visitors to Westin . Normally we go to the coffee shop cum all day diner and have always enjoyed the meal. We have tried the Chinese which we didn't like. Have heard the Italian is good too. We have taken the Westin card hence we get a very decent discount from 10-50% in a meal depending on the number of people. Try's and go for it as it makes a lot of sense if you can use it. more

I concur though I found the coffee good for which it is not necessary to go to the Westin! more
