SC/ST category for central / state govt employees

A person who belongs to SC/ST candidature, get all facilities, right from primary education till graduation / post-graduation / doctorate / etc., on reservation basis, as well as reservation to employment with the central / state govt machinery.

Now the question is:
1) Once that candidate is provided with a life time opportunity of a govt employment, why the govt has to still list him under SC/ST quota? Why can’t that candidate be delisted from SC/ST category & listed under general quota?
2) Why his immediate family (dependent spouse & children) be provided the same SC/ST status quo?
3) The candidate has been provided an opportunity to come up in life, in terms of reservations & other related matters, so now it is his/her capability to get listed under general quota & provide best survival paths with ethics, for his/her next generations to thrive.
4) It is a sorry state of affair to say that out former president belonged to SC/ST category and his heirs still enjoy the SC/ST status quo (if I’m not wrong).

Only in India such things can never be erased, because there is no political will to change the reservation status, fearing they may loose their vote bank.

Narendra Modi ji,

This is high time for you to think in eradicating caste / community based reservations, for those who are already employed with the govt, either center or state, and bring in talents to manage / rule / work for the govt body.

Food for your thought sir.

Supreme Court of India 2 decades back itself directed the Government to findout Creamy layer based on Economical Analysis to Eliminate those in reasonably better status to address the real poor and poorest of the Poor . This issue was neglected by the then Congress Government at large . Further , there were already rulings that Socially better placed like in IAS etc., even with their whole Family to be Eliminated from the Provision of Reservations and relaxations . In deed , a Lawyer , a Judge , a Doctor , Asst. head Master , Head master , a D.E.O , the Gazetted Cadre Employees , an Engineer , A Chartered Accountant and and Accounts Officer , Manager , and , A Lecturer / Professor , ALL SUCH ARE IN DEED HONOURED IN STATUS SOCIALLY AND NATIONALLY TOO . It is now the duty of the learned and Employed Citizen , Those in the Business have to approach the Supreme Court of India through a Registered " People's Organization " since the President of India also could not address this issue under his special power set in the Constitution . more
Friends, how about taking this forward as a movement and getting to the right ears, so that this issue will get discussed at the right places, so that we will move towards a developed nation. more
Friends, While appreciate all your individual views, I would like to reiterate my point. The context is, why SC/ST category should still exist for those who have been provided the right opportunities / reservations, even after placed in govt jobs? This is neither why Brahmin should only be regarded high, nor other communities / castes should be regarded as low. Hence my view is: should the govt employees in central / state (who has claimed the right of reservations in education & govt jobs, and settled in their respective jobs offered or as per the opportunity), and their immediate / dependent family members should enjoy the SC/ST status quo? Regards........ more
The Reservations article miscarried confining to either Whole Family and or hereditary including Wealthy in Status. Injustice to the article itself . more
