SAFETY OF WOMEN IN TRAINS
THERE CAN NOT BE A FULL PROOF RMEDY OF THIS CRIME. ONE SUGGESTION TO THIS PROBLEM POST A FEMALE ARMED RPF IN EXCLUSIVE LADIES COMPARTMENTS.

It is not necessary that such type of incidents are going to happen only in ladies compartments these can happen any where in any coach. These type of incidents mostly occurs in reserved and long route trains where the stoppages are less to curb such incidents in my opinion if the following steps are taken then it is likely that such incidents can be reduced but can only be removed 100% if the fellow passengers co operate and take immediate action collectively against these gunds or anti social elements 1. All trains must be provided with armed security staff with special training to curb such incidents or if need be shooting such persons at site it self. 2. All coaches be provided with CC cameras. The monitors of these cameras should be in the coach where security staff is placed preferably the guards room The monitors are to be monitored by security staff. They should immediately rush to the spot of happening place through the moving train. 3. Neither any vendor nor any passenger without reservation should be allowed to board the train. 4. Strictness will have to be observed in respect of all including politicians and police officials or officers trying to enter these reserved coaches besides public , venders etc. Train staff will have to be assured by the Government that they will not be harmed for observing these directions. Action should be initiated against railway officials for not following these directions. If these steps with slight modifications are taken I think most of these problems can be resolved. more

Moreover, particularly during the night, if the train becomes lonely, accompanying spouses (husband/son) should also be allowed to travel in the ladies compartment. more

Ladies compartment should be attached with the Guard's cabin with visibility from his cabin. Plus CCTV camera to be continuously monitored from Som point. RPF should also be put there additionally. more
