Railways would like to reduce its energy bill by 20-25%
Diesel and Electricity are currently the major fuels for Railways. With this post we would like to seek your ideas on how Railways can achieve this objective.
Please suggest how Railways can reduce its energy consumption, use alternate sources and any other ways to reduce this bill.

All train should have solar roof top, this will generate electricity for internal lights, fan. more

huge amount of electrical energy can be saved by erecting wind power mills along the track on virgin land of railways and electricity produced by flow of huge air my moving trains on busy track...as train passes with speed a flow n drag of air will move wind mills and this will produce electricity which can b back to traction grid an innovative idea.... more
