Reduce the menace of underage driving
It is examination time and like every year we lose young children to underage driving, rash driving, etc.
- Can we as citizens work with our circles to have a plan to reduce the number of such incidents across the state
- Communicate with parents / schools / children - that underage driving is illegal, dangerous and is punishable.
- Most accidents happen early in the morning or late at night when children are travelling to and fro from their tuitions. They are exhausted, sleepy, driving vehicles that are too big for them, have a number of pillion riders, and showing off by driving fast. They should not be on the roads and should definitely not be driving illegally. Can we have more police deployed early in the morning or through the night to catch these young children and to confiscate the vehicle and punish the parents for putting their children in danger.
- Can we suggest to parents to organize pooling to drive their children in turns to their respective tuition classes.
It is time we place more value on our children's lives rather than on marks and our own busy schedules. more

Leaning of driving by joining them in schools meant for them,but it costs money gains safety and good training.Love blinded parents allow their wards specially the rich ones and reckless youngsters with crime money also are part of this dangerous tribe increasing day by day . Kaw to be amended, must be inclusive of parental responsibility and punishment. more

One of my relatives lost her life while returning home after purchasing milk early in the morning when a 10 year old son of an Ayurvedic doctor hit her from behind driving his father's car; our relative's family let that brat go Scot free instead of ensuring that he went to a correctional institution; this happened in Bengaluru but can happen any place else too. Hence, parents beware; it is certainly not a matter of pride if your under aged kid is driving a motor vehicle but a matter for serious concern; your head needs to be examined. more
