Reduce loss to Consumer in Surge Pricing in Trasport Sector

Government is cleverly helping the Corporates against the interest of Consumer. The surge pricing levied heftily by all modes of transport -Taxies, Rail ways, Road Transport services, Air ways.
Unfortunately, the Government instead of strengthening the Public transport under the state, it is helping the corporates to take advantage against the existing Government Road Transport/Railways which ultimately dearly hitting service cost to the Poor consumer.
Local Circles may take up the issue with Government to reduce the burden on end consumer in getting better services in public Trasport.

The following are some of the suggestions to Government:

1. Increase the number of trains by Indian Railways apart from private IRCTC etc transport ( Vande Bharat trains etc)
2. Allot both profitable routes as well as non profitable rural routes to Private operators in some viable ratio to them.
3. Put reasonable surge pricing whether it is Railways, Road wayes or private taxies or Air ways keeping in view of interest of Poor consumer also.
4 Increasingly support State Governments in builting Metro services, Local train services in major cities irrespective of the party in ruling in that State by way of central share in funds.
5. Encourage Vehicle pooling by Commuters by way of giving Income tax exemptions to Salaried class with some proper guidelines more

In cities like Mumbai, govt is actually doing nothing to improve public transport. There is huge scope to improve simple , cheap waterways mode, buses and rail network but govt wants to construct expensive coastal roads used by select few while thousands are left to rot on badly maintained normal roads. Similarly, the govt wants to promote expensive bullet train while increasing the prices of normal trains by leaps and bounds. Don't understand this concept of 'acche din'. Also when the common man is burdened so much why are politicians getting freebies ? Shouldn't they set an example by traveling like us. more
Is this Govt really interested in citizen vikas not at all - just make life living hell policies ? more
Rather than fixing the price, basing on peak demand etc criteria, government should bring a standardised guidelines in keeping in view of the extra time and effort they have to under go for meeting the peak demand, fixation of scientific pricing with additional 10%-15% margin may be reasonable one to meet the both the parities interest. more
Surge pricing needs to be curtailed by 50%. Double the fare is too high. more
Shortages are created by Govt. it self not supporting public support. In Telangana free bus provided without adding new buses. No funds available for MMTS expansion. Plan Very Big for Metro trains. All politics and Govts. are for corporate support. The Govt. activism in this kind of services shall be minimal to that they should not rob the customers, however, it is not happening. Even a driver cancels trip, OLA is charging customer, don't know how to get redress as it will not respond for queries on App and no other mode available for correspondence. General Public cries fall in deaf ears. more
