Unwanted SMS Survey

Many of you know LocalCircles has been regularly escalating the unwanted SMS issues for several years now and some of it has met with actions by TRAI. In fact this week, on Monday when implementation to new TRAI rules commenced, many consumers had difficulty as the principal entities (those who send messages) had not separated their transaction and promotional messages. The LocalCircles survey indicates that 73% Indians are getting 4 or more unwanted messages SMS daily and attached are the key survey findings. more

These are pain in the neck. Similarly there are many a calls and specially during odd hours are also pain in the neck. I think DND is also not working properly. more  
I agree with Shri Krishnamurty. There has to be some punitive action against the senders without which it will be difficult to control this increasing menace more  
I feel the telecom providers and all others who are collecting data from Mobile and systems (Google, Microsoft, Whatsapp, Facebook) are in the business of selling these data too. more  
Un-wanted messages are real menance in the society and Trai must take stringent action. more  
The TRAI should formulate rules and regulations to receive complaints and punish the sender when once s complaint is sent by email to them like a police station more
