Railways Deteriorating
I agree, Indian railways is deteriorating on a daily basis. Though the stations are being kept clean, but most trains are running late. Railways has removed all subsidies for senior citizens. Vande bharat may be their dream project, but that does not mean that other trains are neglected. more

Rly. is having old infrastructure & Need to replace the same. But it is not possible in One shot. Every thing requires money. Here. well paid , pensioner sr. citizens ask for concession ? From where the money will come ? It requires strong Person to take hard decisions independently. The opposition is one of the biggest culprit in development. They always play dirty politics, damages to rly. Properties. If any body get punished then they see their religion & cast. It must stop. Some peoples should be eliminated first to run the things smoothly. more

The main reason for most trains running late is that unavailability of platform on railway station. Priorities are given to the special trains e.g Vande Bharat, Rajdhani etc. so they are mostly on time. hence other trains have to wait at outer and nearby small stations for hours. Railway is spending huge money and resources to replace the stones of platform by expensive marbles stones, building private restaurant and lounges etc . There is no priority on logistics. I am a frequent traveler on Pune-Delhi route and time taken to travel is same which was 40 years back. Train running is priority or platform stone replacement. more
