PUBLICITY Vs. PRECAUTION : CAUTION - A WAKE UP CALL !

The recent RCB celebration for the IPL 2025 cup at Chinnaswamy Stadium—accommodate 35,000 spectators—drew an overwhelming crowd of over 2 lakh people, resulting in Complete chaos, several injuries, and tragically, even loss of life.

While VIPs enjoyed smooth access and security, the general public was left to navigate the dangers of an overcrowded venue. This incident is a sobering reminder for the public, event organizers, and authorities alike. The crowd as so large that the cricket crazy fans had even climbed the trees.

The glaring gap between massive publicity and minimal precaution is not just unfortunate—it’s unacceptable.

If an event is too big to handle safely, why not encourage people to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes using the very same digital platforms that promoted it?

It's time for a serious rethink on how public celebrations are planned and managed—before another preventable tragedy strikes.
