Private solution to stray menace is must

The cost of sterilising and vaccinating 6 crore dogs - 6000 crore approximately - can be done over 3-4 years.

This is nothing for our government. Our country can easily afford this.

If the PM or his Government asks the private sector to solve this, we can do it in 6-12 months.

๐Ÿ“Œ Annual CSR spending in India: ~โ‚น34,000โ€“โ‚น35,000 crore (FY 2023โ€“24)

๐Ÿ“Œ Cumulative CSR spend over a decade: โ‚น2.2 lakh+ crore

The cost of culling will not be much lesser. The karmic cost of such cruelty on society will be far more.

Cost of feeding these dogs in shelters for next 5-6 years would be 200x more.

In 5 years our streets will have no stray dogs if we sterilise them with regularly.

What I wish the govt/ Supreme Court would do in stray dog matter:

1. Implement the ABC Rules
2. Vaccinate and sterilise stray dogs - give enough budget for it
3. Create shelters to house aggressive dogs with history of multiple bitings
4. Ban dog breeding and selling in India
5. Create adoption centers for stray animals and make adoption only way to get a dog
6. Direct CSR money to animal welfare (dogs, cats, cows, other strays)

Lifespan of stray dogs usually - 5 to 6 years. We do not have to engage in extraordinary cruelty to solve this problem.

It is quite simple unless your goal is to cause suffering to dogs and satisfy your demonic urges. more

Why so much concern for stray dogs even at the cost of Rs. 6,000/- crores? Be concerned about human beings, not stray animals. more
The average life span of dog is 12 years. They multiply rapidly. Sterilize all stray and wild animals like cows, bulls, money's, neel gai etc to minimize loss to farmers more
Well saidโ€ฆpragmatic way to address stray population with humanity.๐Ÿ‘ more
Apart from stray dogs other street animals are also to be taken care by these NGOs , also street kids, orphans, Sr Citizens on streets to be included, not to restrict to street dogs only... more
