And the same is happening across many major cities in India.

Can govt do some intervention like have them publish actual data over the last 7 years.

Many schools are too smart they publish this year’s fee data and thats it. Govt should have them publish fee collection data for last 10 years so parents and educators can compare how it is working! more

These below ares need to be monitored properly by our Government. 01. Private Education 02. Private Medical treatment 03. Branded Pharmaceuticals company more
Government must open more schools and maintain the good standards. Any further permit to open schools in the Private sector must be discouraged. Unless at least school education is gradually progressed towards free or at nominal charges, Private schools will continue to plunder and no amount of Government controls will help. KVs and SBOAs schools must be made open to other public instead of Government employees or Bank employees. more
We all want an increase in our annual income, so do the educators and the support staff. Cost or running a schools increases annually for multiple reasons - salary is just one - an annual increase is better than once every n 3/4 years or by meeting revenues thru increase in students strength which dilutes the quality of learning more
What is the cost of delivering good quality education? It is one thing to keep complaining about fee increases and another about the value one gets. At the end of the day, if the base itself is very low and corrections are being made, it's an issue of affordability and value. The trouble is only with schools which, instead of being oriented towards a social objective, are tuned to being money-spinners for some "promoters" who think of it as nothing more than a business. Fees should be commensurate with getting good teaching staff, clean and decent facilities for students (starting from rooms, the board and communication methods, labs, play area, quality training aids, clean and well-equipped toilets, a robust appraisal system, etc.). Frills like AC and ultra-comfortable furniture are secondary and should come in only once the basics are sound. At the end of the day, if students spend hours at school/college (attending or not attending) and then take tuitions and coaching to learn things, it is a slur on the system. Most parents see the school/college as a necessary evil and not an avenue for education. That is where any fee increase comes to hurt. If you get your money's worth, how many will complain? more
everyone has choice, like the TV remote... you dont like the school fees take your ward from there and join in another place of our liking. school teachers are also human beings like us, they also need to paid commensurate with qualifications and experience and so.. also infrastrusture do not come cheap, if you look abroad faculty are one of the highest paid segments.. that is why foreign education exepenses are costly not withstanding the exchange rates!! more
govt should make a notification limiting the percentage increase .Since lot of schools and colleges have some politicians as sleeping partner hence no govt is ready to implement any ruling is the true fact.Wherever there is money involved one can be sure some politicians will be involved indirectly. more
