Printing of expiry date standards

most medicines in India not have the expiry date clearly printed in multiple places on the strip? People buy partial strips. Or they punch out a tablet from where the expiry date and can't read it any more later. Why not the Govt set a clear standard that requires mfg co.s to post "EXPIRY 09/20" repeating across the strip?

BIS would u take action or usual say we cant do this because its medicines. more

Leave aside the mfg/exp date, on small strips it is very difficult to read even the name of the medicine. The drug, the contents, precautions and any other related information is also difficult to read. One reason is the size of the letters and second and perhaps more importantly the surface on whichit is printd. Can't the authorities ask the companies to leave some plain surface where all this informaion can be printed ? more
Reject the pill if does not have expiry date. every thing Govt cant do . the way stamping is done in India same way it is done all over the world. Difference is that they dont sell one or two tablet, they always sell strip more
Good idea. However, I am still skeptical as we citizens of India do not like reading and hence the beneficial difference will be just marginal. more
Actually there is a rule that the Trader should provide magnifying glasses if the print is small and difficult to read . That will uphold the current practices and put to rest complaint about all the print sizes. more
I wish God also follow the rule of printing "expiry date" on all his creations. more
