Prices of pharmaceuticals to fall 30-80%

But in USA Starting tomorrow 9AM, prescription drugs and pharmaceutical prices in the US will fall by ~30-80% to match their lowest price anywhere in the world!

We need a similar movement in India and no one other than LocalCircles is better suited to initiate a public survey.

Attached Trump announcement on same. more

Yes we are going through PMJanausadhi, but the treated Doctor is prescribing the medicine associated with Pharma Co. If Iam not false in our Country the most expensive/manipulated/corrupted areas are, i.e., Medical treatment in Private Nursing Home, Branded Medicine & Educational Institution. If we over come these areas through suitable initiative by Statute I think a major job will over. Jay Maa Bharati ๐Ÿ™ more
Already generic drugs are being sold at very low price on Jan Aushdhi Kendra. We must make an awareness to purchase the generic drugs from jan Aushadhi Kendra instead of Private Medical Store. Also there is a Drugs Price Control System at Ministry level that reviews the prices time to time. more
What happens in USA will generally not be the basis for prices in India. Most pharma products may not even be manufactured in the US. If a rich nation wants to lower prices of anything in their country by gouging people of poorer countries, it is sin. But to make such a thought work is far too complex and impractical. Its nothing more than a politcicians wild rhetoric at best. Even our government levies multiple taxes on pharma products and is no better when it comes to living off the unwell. Then there are also several drugs under price control and generics as well which Trump or anyone can do nothing about. I have rarely, if ever, come across major across the board price reductions especially in pharma products. Yes, supplies can get affected if the manufacturers margins get squeezed. more
it is high time in india also the same type of policies are adhered to by asking the drug manufacturer to reduce the prices to make it more affordable and also we import lot of life savingdrugs which govt should ask companies to make in india and also reduce the duty on the same so that needy people do not have to pay huge taxes on the same more
Wish people of India gets the benefit of such big decision. Govt. may initiate the execution system. more
