Poor safety of curry points and food stalls in Telangana ,AP states.

It is to be regrettable to note that inspite of lot of public debate and governmental agencies like FSSAI and food inspectors of municipalities ,fully cooked food in the form of Biryani,Pulao, rice, Roti, Nan, various types of vegetable curries and dal sambar , dal rasam are being served all over the in the states of AP and Telangana .
The raw material used like vegetables , oils and spices are of questionable quality. The rotten ,discarded vegetable with out washing,The oils are bought from hotels who sell it after they use it once or twice and even oils sourced from dead meat and bones( which is a big industry caught many times by authorities).
The preparation is at places with out hygienic surroundings ,even next to toilets, bathrooms, living shanties .(A documentary showed that food served as packed food on trains are sourced from such places by mean railway contractors)
The middle class ,busy bachelors with less incomes ,the sick ladies who have none to help are the customers .They are found in canopied roadside stalls with stainless steel containers giving impression that it is maintained at high standards.
Lunch time office workers even in busy IT zones in Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Madapur are eating from such temporary roadsides stalls as it is less priced.
It is very surprising that none to ensure the safety part of it!
The Central and state governments must raid all these temporary food stalls and check and fine them .They are raking lakhsof Rupees of turn over in such shoddy stalls. more

Quite low price (affordable to poor wage earners or coming to cities/towns for unavoidable problems - medical treatment, courts, examinations, etc.) makes such eateries attractive. However, some food lovers vouch for their delicacies. Thus, their clienteles are also quite large. These realities makes the Demand-Supply economics highly viable, reality of health-hygiene gets only a few back seats. Suppliers - consumers, both have got plenty of sympathisers/protectors from leaders, food inspectors, police, etc. Quite a few of them have got all India reputations also and are having daily sales approaching lakhs of Rs. more
Why naming Telangana? It is happening all through India and we need to mend our way of law abiding on one hand and bringing major laws to safeguard public health. more
It is true. But let us propose some alternatives for improvement. Check by Govt agencies--- Generally they say the shortage of manpower and so many business establishments. Shortage can be adjusted with voluntary or part time employees. Help of NGO also can be taken for checking. Departmental canteens may be encouraged. Consumers may QUESTION the roadside service providers for better cleanliness and transparency. They may be pressurized and try for better service . Anybody may suggest something to get better services. Business people do not ignore the demands by customers. We generally do not question and that is taken as acceptance by shops. more
The Dist. Health Inspectors should ensure the quality of food. The local body authorities to keep close watch on such activities, if they have issued the trade license. more
