Police Transfer and Posting Rates

A lot of dirty activities going on in policing. Policemen being asked for bribes by senior officials for postings. If Indian Police Foundation has any significance they need to come out with clear positions on accountability for police and then get state governments to act on that policing code.

These are corruptions practiced since last 1500 years or more from both sides (top as well as bottom) - how do you correct them so soon, without a good, stable and fearless Top?

The Rot is too old and will need a long time if the TOP IAS and IPS officers are strictly willing to change, many heads will roll in the process.

Investigative Journalists might contribute some acceleration to the process of changing. more
Police and Politician Nexus is killing this nation and their Corruption did reach all Pillars of Democracy - Only enlightened & Sensible Voter and God can save this country more
It is well known fact that Police Station auction takes place for postings. How sad it is that our young IPS officers get into this malpractice, seek bribe from juniors, and seek undue favours from politicians and in turn give out of turn favours to bribe providers, politicians and business. The million dollar question is how to eradicate this practice. How can we the common man can help in it. First and foremost is to elect honest politicians, if there is any. more
Can we really bypass the non-matric/ non-graduate lawmakers who are the actual masters of the police
force with the help of executives/Judiciary which is also paralyzed?

If the information on corruption for posting is so well known to every one, then Local Circles may consider bringing it to the attention of PM so that corrupt senior most officials are ordered to take action against their subordinates. If senior most official is also corrupt then he should be dismissed by government. Action against Politicians interfering in transfers and posting of police officers should also be taken by government. more
