whatever may be the reason for the police in not registering a complaint and issuing the FIR,the system needs to be revamped..my suggestion is as follows..the police commissioners office should open a centralised portal in which complaints should be lodged..this complaint should then be acknowledged with a registration no. and forwarded by the commissioners office to the relevant police station..the complainant may then approach the police station with the acknowledgement..thereafter the action depends upon the police station concerned.. more

Fully agree with Mr. Suresh Dasarathy. Moreover, annual increment should be granted and Annual Confidential Report prepared based on the no. of cases carried forward from the previous years, new cases registered in the current year and no. cases convicted. Further, very high penalties to be awarded, in case of wrong convictions. more
