Police Corruption Map

The Police Corruption map attached is a result of poll in Transforming India circle and I am sure many of you participated there. My question for this circle and the Indian Police Foundation is what actions will you be taking to right this?

Shouldn't this map be presented to every State Police Head by you or Home Ministry asking them for a plan of action of what measures they will take.

It really is very high time Police Foundation takes some actions. Organizing conferences will not lead to results. Demand results will. more

FIRST OF ALL . IDENTIFY ALL THE CRIMINALS IN UNIFORM AND SEND THEM FOR "MILITARY SERVICE", SEPARATELY FORMED FOR SUCH PERSONS OF DOUBTFUL INTEGRITY . IF DISMISSED OR COMPULSORILY RETIRED , THEY WILL ONLY HELP THEIR MASTERS , THE POLITICAL MAFIAS , IN TERRORISING THE PUBLIC FOR EXTORTING MONEY . THE TERRIRTORIAL ARMY CAN VERY EASILY ABSORB SUCH DELINQUENTS. more
Corruption in Police: Basics 1 Recruitment - Appointments for jobs are virtually sold. 2 Postings: The posting are supposed to be auctioned. 3 Favours Extended to criminal in return for bribe. 4 Common Man harassed for seeking easy money. Attitude of Police Man 1 Dishonest - not all. 2 Discourteous - most of them 3 Considers every one a criminal 4 Misuse of official authority as a routine Work Conditions: 1 Highly stressful 2 Poor Social respect 3 Poor housing facility by state. 4 Poor health facility for self & family 5 Poor facility for schooling 6 Poor training infrastructure 7 Political interference in day to day work POLICE FOUNDATION NEED TO WORK ON FUNDAMENTAL CHANGES IN THESE ISSUES. more
Law makers are law breakers. They are the root cause for many illegal things happening more
Making system transparent, use of technology and strict supervision by independent authority can be some measures to control corruption. Inquiry against inspector by SP and against SP by IG will not be effective. Police reforms are also urgently required. more
Dear all..... If we, being the circle members are able to contribute something concrete either directly or indirectly to the best of our ability for prevention of corruption, hope it would be better than conducting surveys and projecting through such maps. All of us know very well the prevalence of corruption at various levels in different departments. If at all some cases of corruption are unearthed at our instance, it would be hopefully better contribution for this kind of circle. If I am wrong I may be corrected. more
