Petrol Car Owners - Troublesome News

Petrol car owners, brace yourselves!

Govt plans to push 27% ethanol soon, no concern for cars designed for just 10% or 20% ethanol.

Expect fat repair bills after 5 years, zero warranty coverage, and no way to get 100% pure petrol option either like in developed Nations. more

car manufacturers should come out and tell customers whether the engine can work especially the fuel system to produce the same power and what will be its effects on components have they made a study and also people having earlier generation cars designed for 10 % ethanol can it take 27% without any loss of power or components failure or deterioration.Even though govt is planning to use ethanol but the price govt is not reducing.looks like some vested interests are playing a game more

Who will fund a new car purchase? The government? Why do people give absurd answers? (If you can't get bread, have cake!) And Diesel cars are nothing short of shooting yourself in the foot. New vehicles need an additive Adblue, as a pollution control agent, to be filled in regularly into another tank. CNG facilities are present in the cities but not across the country.

Ethanol-free petrol is available in other countries in the world. This is only an Indian phenomenon. Petrol by itself is a fairly clean fuel. Ethanol is being added as an import substitute. Its cost of manufacture is not publicly made available, but some people are believed to be profiting on that in a big way. more
But no government or the manufacturer has guaranteed availability of ethanol free petrol. more
Legal cases will be filed on central government for the losses due to more % of ethanol and damages to be claimed. Auto companies should take stay. more
