Patanjali is misleading us consumers

I really appreciate how upon our escalation from these circles the consumer authorities regulator ccpa has issued notices against surrogate ads.

My question is why has the regulator not issued notices to patanjali ramdev and company.

See this attached ad about how patanjali can solve diabetes.

India which doesnt know how to differentiate between genuine medicines and such advertisements gets misled so easily.

Consumer Department can we expect actions. It came in todays paper in mumbai. Either you are soft on them or they think they are the boss. more

Billionaire businessmen, can earn ratings through hype, when products' efficacy affect the masses. Never mix the 2. Yoga good, also ayurveda good. Can't hyphenate them with persons as embodiments thereof. more
A distinct "othering" of other drug manufacturers happening, if they do similar claims, which is good, as merely profiteering per say, must be carefully checked. But only in Patanjali's case, the owner, Ramdev, remains above all suspicion, since he has built, helped by particular segment of people, very vocal on social media, a stereotype that all other companies, his competitors, are evil. To be fair, the Patanjali product, Gonyl, a washroom cleaning formulation, using Go mutra as principle ingredient, was an excellent substitute for Phenyl. more
Just a few years ago ( may be 5 or 6 years), M/s Patanjali was selling 'Jamun Sirka' (Vinegar made from the juice of Blakberry flesh) as a remedy of diabetes ( which type?), whereas qualified Ayurvedas consider that the medicinal power of Jamun resides in the seed kernel, which contains alkaloid(s) - which metabolizes carbohydrates. Will some qualified Ayurveda Doctor comment on the stated two alternatives? more
Diabatic is fully cureable if you practice yoga and exercise along with these medicines. Little knowledge is too dangerous more
Misleading advertisement, hyphenating the medicine, with being pro-Indian, playing up the buyer's patriotic sentiments, including surrogate advertising, "Yog". How clever. At least, another company, Dabur, in competition, are selling their ayurvedic product, in 120 countries, purely on the medicine's value! Whenever, one purchases a drug their sellers tell the buyer to do certain aasanas, so where is the control! How can one say whether yoga did the trick, if at all. I have yet to see anyone diabetic benefit from Patanjali's medicines! If anybody benefits, good luck! Like the gentlemen said, if Patanjali products are so effective what is the need to do so much advertiseements on TV! Simple logic! more
