Our crops getting washed out - Climate Change at play

There is nothing romantic, pleasant or selfie worthy about these rains. They are destroying the wheat and oilseed crop that is nearly ready to be harvested. 'Climate change' is not some fancy activist phrase. It is playing out right before our eyes.

Can I request LocalCircles members to discuss this and LC Manager to raise this issue through survey report whatever the Government will pay attention to. The loss is real if you talk to your family in agriculture and farmers impacted more

I thing few things can be tried to minimize the loss 1. Weather condition updates to farmers 2. Research on how to protect the crop from climatic conditions 3. Protecting the environment as disturbing it is causing all this 4. Society needs to be educated in supporting the farmers as they give us food to live/survive more
Climate change is the new normal … along with deadly viruses epidemics … each one of us along with governments / authorities will have to be more aware and watchful of actions and consequences more
Nothing can be done by anyone if crops are affected by rain, etc. Government can d nothing about it, other than pay compensation for losses For which you and I would need to pay higher taxes. Also it is high time that farmers with income greater than 10 lakhs per annum should start paying income tax. more
Well, elections are a reality which we have to cope with. Current issue is untimely rains and climate playing havoc with the standing crops which are almost ready for harvesting. more
What are possible solutions? more
