Organ Donation Circle

Today being organ donation day, I propose that the LocalCircles take up this cause and create a national organ donation circle. Every year, this day comes, we see something in news paper, a few people sign up and then its out of public mind.

By creating this circle, it can bring together people who have already committed and people who want to commit together including their family into a connected circle. Every hospital organ donation dept and ngos can be made part of circle.

Till this is not done, organ donation will not become a movement in India. I also request the PM who I suppose gets inputs from this circle to initiate this. Hopeful that he will care.

I seek everyone's views as well.

I don't think any religion has a ban on organ donation. When these religions were formed, the question did not arise. It is mostly ignorance. But getting religious leaders to endorse this is a good idea. more

Religious dogmas and beliefs are one reason why organ donations are not being received. If we involved religious leaders at the national level irrespective of caste or creed I am sure that the tide could e turned.
