Open letter to ToI

Stop media its enough

Open Letter to Times of India: let's join our hand and circulate to all who is opinion that what was published today was a gross mistake: .

Dear Editor:

I have been a loyal reader of The Times of India for the last 40+ years but today I couldn't help but hang my head in shame looking at your coverage of Yakub Memon - his hanging, his last procession, the hordes who thronged his funeral, details of his last day in jail, his family's emotions, the judicial process, what not! Not a word about the feelings of the victims of the '93 blasts.

I was aghast to see 6 whole pages devoted to the Great Martyr while poor old APJ Abdul Kalam was relegated to some obscure corner. I sincerely feel that this sort of coverage it was obscene, insensitive, unnecessary & completely irresponsible. Not at all expected from a publication of your stature & repute.

In view of this, I am sorry to inform you that I am constrained to terminate our longstanding relationship. I am no longer subscribing to your paper starting tomorrow.

I know you must be thinking, "So what's the big deal?! What difference does the loss of one insignificant reader make to our million plus readership?" But it does make a difference to me.

Hope better editorial sense prevails in the future in your hallowed publication & you regain your former glory!

Don't read this kind of newspapers more

Print and T. V. Media have to expose the good for the Society and Safety to the Nation while highlighting the News. News shall be the new that Citizen have to know , think , analyze and step for correcting the bad and following the good . Sensationalism shall indeed be set off by them for the sake of the Safety in Society and Security in the Country. In fact, they have to opt educating the People , cautioning the People to build healthy and strengthy , the Country working in and working for. Even entertainment programs , advertisements , precise shall be for knowledge built -up and awakening the people towards the future care parameters . Criticisive and suggestive programs and debates also shall be subject oriented only since every body know that there is the safety, easy and justifiable roots through the various courts of law. Even the Politicians and Political Parties also since one half a decade opting only argumentative , debative with allegations and creating unrest in the Society and th e Civility too without preferring to approach the Courts for their any allegations or reports . IN FACT THIS NATURE ONLY MADE EVERY BODY EVEN THE PAPER AND T. V. MEDIA DIVERSIFY TO SUCH COMMENTARY , ARGUMENTATIVE , DEBATIVE AND SENSATIONAL PROCESSES WHICH ARE CAUSING STIR AND RIGOR IN THE PUBLIC AND MANY SOCIETIES IN ALMOST THE REGIONS IN THE COUNTRY. Hence, the realization shall come from the honourable Political Parties and the Political leaders in this Country to re-establish peace within the people and the Nation which is the fundamental need now. more
Request all those who agree to stop ToI and sister publications. They must feel the pinch more
I agree with Sanjeev Bedekar... I have been an ardent reader of TOI for 45 years and I have stopped watching their channel as well as reading the Newspaper. BEING Critical is good thing which expresses certain flaws committed but, critising what had been done correct is what a paid journalist do. TOI has sold its conscience to Congis and it is very apparent in each n every programme and news shown and written by them. I don't even feel like looking at the channel and see ARNAB GOSWAMI's face.... He once said that if I am being critised so much that means I am on the right path... this shows the mentality of this man how he is thinking to be above GOD... There is a proverb "PRIDE COMES BEFORE FALL" and now I am sure that FALL of TOI n ARNAB is near. more
