New railway cancellation rules

Indian Railways introduces tiered cancellation charges—full refund (small fee) if >72 hrs, 25% (72–24 hrs), 50% (24–8 hrs), no refund <8 hrs.
Passengers can now change boarding point up to 30 minutes before departure.

Does this make sense? I think we will lose more money. more

i do not see logic for 25% for 72-24 hrs but 50% for 24-8 .I feel it should have been the other way round more

Our Railway is in the hands of Govt, giving facility to vip and its free but when it happen to common citizens, it's highly chargeable to compensate for the VIP culture more
