New Initiatives by EPFO to provide services and timely information to all stake holders
EPFO has taken a number of e-initiatives to provide services and timely information to all its stakeholders in tune with the government’s motto of minimum government and maximum governance. It has now been decided to publish the age-band wise estimate of all new subscribers as declared by their employers. The new employees have been categorised in six age bands like less than 18; 18-21; 22-25; 26-28; 29-35 and more than 35 years of age. The information can be accessed at https://epfindia.gov.in/site_docs/exmpted_est/Payroll_Data_EPFO.pdf?id=sm5_index. This data can be helpful in policy making, planning and research work as the planners may have an idea as to what is the estimate of employees in different age band.
EPFO has so far been intimating its members by way of SMS on credit of their respective monthly contribution into their accounts. Now, credit information is available through e-passbook online and UMANG mobile App as well as through missed call service for all members. EPFO members whose monthly contribution is regularly received may view their contribution details using any of these options.
However, the members whose contributions are not deposited in time remain uninformed. It has now been decided that an intimation by way of SMS/email shall be sent to members who have registered their Mobile Number / email ID against respective Universal Account Number. more

@Shri Swarn Jain, We need to continue our efforts and compel these officials to respond. We cannot be taken for granted as it is the income out of your contribution which is paying their salaries. Let after few mails, the mail also should be endorsed to labour department. It is being said based on my personal experience wherein the official was even compelled to call me and disbursed my pension without even a single visit to the EPFO and all pension documents were submitted by post. more

Sir, my complaint stated the fact and the fact is they are being paid from the income out of our contribution. Write in a nice way. more

EPFO employees attitude is that it's their own money.....once one employee asked me why I am making so many grievances....I told him the same thing..... more

Dear Sir, We are very much aware that our organisation is not depositing our money in EPF account (through RTI query). But what we can do. Government has to take action against such kind of organisation. Since we are working here, we cannot lodge complaint against them. King Fisher airline did not deposit TDS. So Government asked employees to pay TDS. Government has to close such kind of loop holes. Recently I also tweeted EPFO about it. Ideally Government should lodge criminal case against such kind of Organisation. more

Mohit ji, I wish all said is applied sincerely making EPF Organisational functions transparent and all employees registered with EPF get genuine services without delay and loss of any kind whether it is interest or principal contributions. I know many like me must have lost a lot of money in the event of moving from one company to other and by transferring or withdrawal of money. Most of employees must have lost interest for one month at least on accumulations whenever withdrawal of money was requested. Date of application was considered cut-off date and the payment order was issued after a long time and money finally received in the hands of employees later. I also wish if individual employees desire to open their case because of ill-treatment, the EPFO department should prepare itself with adequate data of the accounts those are closed/withdrawn during the last 20 years or after the year 1999. more

More data in EPFO, less people to handle means more trouble to come for the members.....the system is not yet 100% digital.....after submitting Aadhaar....they will still ask for school final certificate for age verification for just providing some interest....they are very slow for changes....we should be very careful.....they have the ability to harass you like anything with your own money....contribution by employer and they play the game as custodian....Regards On Fri, 27 Apr 2018 12:14:28 +0530 "MOHIT PANDE" wrote > more
