New Fraud over call
Would like to share a recent fraud which happened with me..
I got a call around 0710 in the morning with following number : 9897643808
After my wife answered the call, Person asked to speak to me . He said , He is some Pandit knowing me and requested me to recharge some number for 500/- . His voice sounded quite familar to one of Pandit that I know. I recharged as I was in hurry to leave office
He told me he will come back and return the Money in 2 days. THis guy called in again 0900 and asked for another recharge.
Here I checked this number of Internet True Caller.
Found this number was SPAM and No one is answering back both the numbers.
In my case loss was small. I would recommend you guys to be cautious and avoid falling in to similar traps. more

A few years ago a nearby shopkeeper in Sec-28 (from whom we used to buy electrical stuff) came home looking desperate and asked for 10k for an operation at Metro hospital. I was in two minds, so told him that let me accompany him to the hospital and pay directly to the hospital staff. Almost immediately he seemed to get a call on his mobile telling him that the emergency was over. Since then got to know that he left the shop and went away. more

One of my neighbor in Sector 37 Faridabad also received a similar call pretending it to be their uncle. The voice was also matching as that of their uncle. However they verified the situation from their uncle house and soon realized the caller was a fraudster and could save themselves. There is an advisory out of these two example: As soon as you pick up the call and find the matching voice, never identify the relation yourself. It is only you identify him as your known, the caller take advantage of addressing you with the same relation and you become victim of the fraud call. I would advise the author of the post since he has got caller number as well as he has become victim of the fraud, he may like to send information-cum complaint to the police by email. Let police not take any action, but we citizens discharge our responsibility of informing the police authorities. more

dear you are at loss for yourself, pardon me saying this. but today all mobile operator in India gives 10-20 immediate topup without paying to deducted from next topup. so why this days anybody ask for a topup. even long away and in danger can me make free call from vodafone, airtel, tata and idea by making a call to 198 they tag up 1 or 2 number for 24 hours as free emergency calls so that people in danger can get help. more
