inform your employer about the discriminates & get revised form 16 more
If you indeed have HRA as a component of salary, you have to request your employer to issue revised Form 16 which he can do only after getting Form 26AS revised (Note: A valid Form 16 is required to be issued through TRACES which in turn takes info from Form 26AS) more
ITR -1 (SAHAJ) WILL APPLICABLE IN YOUR CASE.FOR SALARIED EMPLOYEES FORMS APPLICABLE IS 16 AND NOT 16A.IF TDS MADE ONLY THEN IT WILL SHOW IN FORM 26AS. more
Dear Mr Jagdish Narang...If your only source of income is Salary, then you have to file ITR-1. Consider the HRA paid in the salary slips as proof of HRA. You can consult us for efiling your returns. more
If HRA is there in your salary as a component, then you can claim HRA rebate by filing I.T.R 1 by recalculating your taxable salary income after HRA rebate, better to file manual filing as you can enclose your salary revised taxable income computation along with Salary certificate issued by your employer with HRA component and rent receipt etc., more
