Appeal to PM by Senior Citizens

While retirement often comes with financial uncertainty, there are savings products that are safe and ensure guaranteed retirement income. The Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS), launched in 2004, is one such deposit scheme. Introduced by the Government of India, the Main Objective of the SCSS is to provide an assured return (paid every quarter) to senior citizens, and in doing so to create a guaranteed regular income flow.
SCSS was supposed to provide an Assured Return and create a guaranteed regular income flow.
The SCSS interest rate was 9% in 2004. It was increased to 9.3% w.e.f. April 2015 to take care of rising prices.
The interest rate has been reduced to 7.4% and was to be further reduced to 6.5% as per reports. However FM has withdrawn the notification of 6.5% for at least 3 months.
We appeal to PM Shri Narendra Modi to change the name of SCSS 2004 Scheme to "Senior Citizens Welfare Scheme 2021" effective April 2021 with interest rate of 9.3%. This scheme should not be part of small savings schemes wherein interest rates are reviewed every quarter. As main objective is to provide assured return and guaranteed regular income flow to senior citizens. The interest rate shall not be reduced but increased to meet inflationary trends in essential items, medicines and healthcare.
All other rules of SCSS 2004 shall apply to SCWS 2021. more

I think the proposal by Mohit Pande must be implemented. Here the amount can be increased to 2500000 from 1500000. This will take care of real inflation. Even if it requires some sort of subsidy heading from Ministry of Finance, it should be approved. As such Govt is having so many subsidy schemes. This will cover approximately 13 Crores Senior Citizens. more

Dear Jagdish Chandra Sir....I have spent 32 years in Aviation Security and worked at almost all the Airports in India. Half of my tenure was spent in Police Stations and Courts. I have real friends who are practicing in different courts. I am sure you are aware of "Nirbhaya Case". I wasn't aware that the culprits have so many options to evade hanging.
Anyways if your good self still wants to go ahead, I am with YOU. more
Sir, one nagarnigam parishad gets monthly salary after term of five years he gets pension.when the same becomes mla he gets salary plus pension.when he becomes mp he gets salary plus pensions for mla and parshad. Being a government.servant once we get re employment pension benefits are restricted. All learned members can think of approaching the supreme Court in the interest of common public men and pensioners, why number of pensions are given to politicians. more
Dear Jagdish Chandra Sir.....I agree with you in toto and I am sure everyone of us are aware of such practices by the Politicians and even aware of the million of civil cases lying in the Court of Law. I am sure even your Grand son will retire & nothing will move in the Supreme Court. Don't you think Supreme Court must not be aware of this malfunctioning but they would say that we do not interfere in the administrative matters. Courts are for riches and not for Common Sr. Citizens of India.
Sir....Have you heard any such petition by Politicians for OROP ( One Rank One Pension). As you have rightly said that they get PENSION FOR EVERY RANK.
