MUMBAI's TURN TO BAN PLASTIC , TIME TOO SHORT :

A small section are aware and were getting themselves ready , but not all waiting for things to happen. Particularly the traders, Restaurants , careless litterers will all find it difficult .

It was really , "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH " in all places as plastic and other non degradable stuff used and littered indiscreetly littering on the streets , dumping in the sewage , waterways which all landed in the sea. Particularly in the prestigious commercial capital .

Enough and more awareness programs have been conducted through various media .There have been several consultations , meetings lectures involving celebrities with the help of Enthusiasts and N.G..O.'s with wide publicity .

Many individuals , organizations , students had got in to clear the plastic from waterways and Beaches in many places . Leave alone celebrities , there were political bigwigs who had given a lending hand ad a pose for the camera as well . Even after seeing all that there was no fall in generation and well as littering of Plastic .

A LITTLE MORE WARNING AND SOME TIME WOULD HAVE BEEN WELL APPRECIATED BY THE PUBLIC . more

small small thing we have to start for less using plastic for example we can take a cotton bag for vegetables, and tiffin boxes for tiffins like idli, dosa, vada, etc... more
This is an utter foolery. No one in the world could ban plastic at any reason what so ever the reason may be. If really any one culturing their blood their is chance of certain % of plastic molecules could be found. Most important is accept plastic and plastic is costly no not use it to litter around. Conservation is the one and only solution. Strict action to be taken on littering and spitting around people first time a warning second time morning to eveing cleaning the area and get paid then third time take io police station and clean entire premises then to court to clean the court premises then to jail as last punishments. Strictly no excuses even son of CM or IG or any politico-bureaucratic alliances' kith and kin. Littering around spiting around urinating around are the cusses of our society at any cost no one could block plastic and it will bring public cry and prblematic challenges to more areas only. more

Plastic items less than 50 microns need to be banned nation wide. That will ensure no supplies from other places. more
Banning plastics is not the solution. It will create more problems in day to day living of common public. We have to think more appropriate solution of collection, segregation & recycling of solid wastes. Depending on paper will increase the cutting of trees & destruction of greenery in the country. more
