I find this suggestion worth considering. The issue of deployment of security forces CSN be dividing the process into phases spread not over 15 days.It will certainly save a lot of expenditure .Only the barriers for fighting elections have to be raised and incresed use of technology for campaigns has to be made mandatory so that the electorate has facility to evaluate the candidates simultaneously more

I agree. Mopre so there will be huge saving on electoral expenditure, security forces and also inability of goons to go to all polling station simultaneously. The elections will also become more party centric instead of people centric and thus some of the rogue element might be out. Coupled with this there ought to be fixed five year tenure for the vairous bodies elected and similar fixed tenute for the PM Cm and so on. This will reduce possibility of horse trading. Additionally in case a no confidence motion is brought in, it should if passed not lead to fresh elections and the party bringing it must simultaneously offer alternate government which continues till end of 5 years. In case of disqualification or death of a member elected, the post should be kept vacant till next election. Unless this is done the simultaneous elections can never become a reality. more

I strongly appeal for simultaneous election across the country. It will save time and will have a better impact I'm the society as well as in National Scenario. I wonder why wasn't it raised earlier . more
