Mockery of Urban Missions

I agree with Mohini Moghe. The urban development ministry is making mockery of urban missions. Last year in ghaziabad the nagar nigam hired girls were talking to college boys to take feedback in smart city. Like this they collected some 15000 feedbacks to upload to some website so they can get points.most feedbacks were irrelevant as these kids arenot even from ghaziabad.

This year I hear they are trying to get people to download some swachhata app which by my rxperience is total fail. Again a bunch of people who dont give a damn about the city including family of civic karamcharis will download it rate the city they are responsible for cleaning clean and then clap. What a collossal waste of tax payer money.

First 2 years atleast these missions had some direction, now its shortcuts.

You can fool some people some time not all people all the time. more

The implementation part of Swechha Bharat campaign is a big flop. more
Govt can appoint retired experienced volunteers from the same city and pay them some compensation. They can be a part of an independent body and they will move various wards of the city and can give their report. more
For any mission to be successful, it must start with awareness. Educating masses about the benefits of clean roads, drainage, parks, rest rooms and surrounding areas along with motivating and facilitating cleanliness operations could go a long way in contributing towards clean and green India. more
Such views are being shared since a long time but nothing concrete has been done yet. more
I like to state how villages are looted. Town nearby sell a calendar 7Rs, but in my village 10Rs. A Packet of Rusk cost 37Rs in near by town, but in my village 40Rs to name a few for your info. more
