Mobile towers
90% of the mobile towers in gurgaon are illegal. Whats the solution to ensure we dont have radiation ill effects and dont suffer call drops all the time? more

One of the finest, down-to-earth innovations in the last quarter century is the Mobile phone--it brings high or low, "together" to communicate & do business to what-have-you. Black or white, Arab or Jew or Moslem (Shia/Sunni) or Christian (Catholic-Protestant) high caste or low or dalit or no caste -- ALL have been EQUAL in connecting, exchanging ideas-views, flaring up or Peace making to what-have-you, cannot surely be made inferior to the landline. On a walk, in bed, or the bathroom or wherever one connects and shares. One can go back to the landline, your right cum freedom granted, of course. BUT 99.9 % Sire will remain loyal & true to the mobile, regardless of the "protest of sorts" you may come up with. Once bitten cannot be twice shy ... ! IF the infamous towers is not a problem in the developed East or the West -- why are we stuck with it ? That is the issue the system we are "slaving" under & a slimy governance we have to suffer under has to be challenged to locate answers the right answers & thereafter IMPLEMENT. VIJAY K SETH Ji -- Unlike you Sire, it is quite some time ago i would get amazed & electrified when the system, its bureaucrats and society at large, accomplished some thing useful & pragmatic like our METRO in north India, now spreading in other cities. How Indians, high or low now use such services -- forgetting to Bless Sridharan ji and the Premier then (Dr Manmohan Singh ji) for pro- viding an essential service to urbanites. It ought to grow even faster than is the case today. (Sadly, the system may, i pray not, may invest $ 14 billion-- loan from Japan, for the speediest train between Mumbai & Ahmedabad...). LEAST required with my apologies to our deeply respected Narinder Modi ji, our PM. Back to the issue of mobile-towers, illegally done or w/o sanction by the authorities, apparently is how our FREE India "runs" . Those who ought to be monitoring such 'progress' on the ground, are they ever pulled up or questioned, or penalized ? Now that our good Deputy Commissioner has taken up the issue let us await what his Committee comes up with. Finally, w/o going off the subject, as such, how come India still does not make the SIM cards that nearly a Billion mobiles require in our land ? What we make are unauthorised mobile towers !!
