Mobile after sale service standards

The mobile phone companies like apple etc are looting consumers. They make defective products and then when a customer faces an issue charge 3-4K just to examine the issue.

Why is no Indian body holding these MNCs accountable. If its a manufacturing defect, what is the complaint process to BIS such that if they dont resolve consumer grievance they can face licence cancellation.

They sell a phone for 50000 which for many is 3 months of income and the way they withdraw support when you have a bad device is just pathetic.

Please advise and if possible share standards with us if they exist. more

I totally agree. But this is happening not only in mobile companies but almost in every product. Almost all products are substandard. Companies are making fool of people. Every company hides the facts about their products. It's all business funda's and we can not expect loyalty in business in our country. more  
There is no proper sales and services in India for mobile repairs. The customers grievances should be looked into by the authorities concerned. more  
After sales and services are poor in India. product quality and user both are responsible. more
