Mandatory Certification for Certain Imported Foods
Many foods in India (packaged drinking water, infant milk substitutes, follow up formula, milk powder, condensed milk, etc.) currently require mandatory BIS- ISI certification.
It is being evaluated by FSSAI if such requirement for imported foods should be done away with.
We seek your experiences with these imported products or any inputs for or against mandatory certification.
Based on your inputs, we may conduct a survey so public opinion is considered before the final decision is taken by the Government. more
