In the current situation, Indian Railways cannot run superfast trains like bullet trains or high speed surface trains, because the rails are not capable to take such high speed. In India trains can run max 100 KM/per hour, that too not consistently, Complete revamping of Railway tracks would be required to take up more speed. But this can hit the budget heavily, Even Indian Railways take up that expenses, automatically train tickets will be costlier, Transport of goods will charge more. So there will be one million people objecting travelling in train has become more costlier and normal person cannot afford. Indian Railways is such a massive organization running for ages doing meaninfully good and it cannot satisfy every citizen of India, rather than telling Indian Railways, Every passenger should take the privilege to help Railways to do better, when one is travelling do not travel just like that, see what is going wrong, inform people to rectify it, it is safety for you, safety for people who are traveling, In the night ensure doors are closed, when you see something suspicious inform Railway Police to take necessary action. more

Few days back on the death of my co brother at bayana I booked a 2 tire AC seat in Golden Temple Express from Delhi to Bayana and back due to urgency. I booked in Tatkal and paid around 5000. Not remember exact amount one way fare. But both seats for me and my wife of age 59 could not occupy the seat being upper birth and long distance people were sleeping. For small distance of about 250 Kms I had a uncomfortable journey. more

I feel in places like madurai, kaniyakumari few of the tourist spots is not being maintined well to travel in night times. Few of the railway stations are not with basic facilities. When govt hesitates to affrod for meagre amount metro rail is huge investament obviously govt will take its own time. Moreover its a normal procedure that metrocities will be benefitted by the facilities then the same should be implemented in other states and if the revenue of the govt in those department increases and the system is successful then they will extend to other places of the state. When completion of National highway roads itself is not being completed think about this. more
