Merchants and Banks killing digital India

See the attached from a travel site We had used a few months back and I had shared in consumer circle.

Since this circle is known to have reps from many minstries, I am sharing here.

Transaction fee to consumer is the primary reason why digital india is not taking off.

The reason e transaction is increasing is because if few ecommerce sites and irctc, income tax but many many merchants want transaction charge if epayments cards are used.

Govt needs to fix this if digital india is to take off. more

States are not interested in Digital/ Bank through Transactions and, the Aadhar Card Linkage just on demand of Merchants and like those still do not want to be away from Black Money and its, ways and means of Corruption. GOI and RBI to once for all decide by 1st Januaray '19. more

I also use my credit & debit cards at the optimum level but never being asked to pay anything in addition to the bill amounts. But the air lines are charging Rs.200/- as conveyance charges per ticket on online booking but no one oppose it. Same is the case with the theatres, who charge around 15% of the ticket prices as internet charges on online booking and we happily pay it. more
