Menu in Rajdhani, Duronto and other trains.
If you check the menu of any Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto or SF mail / express trains. You will find menu in each train is same. Rice, Dal fry, Mutter paneer, seasonal vegetable, Chapati or Tandoori roti, curd and achar etc. Through out the year it is same. Now you just make a check. Rice is ok. Dal fry as tasteless as it was since its introduction. Mutter paneer is really from outer space. Some time you will find gravy with mutter and 1 or 2 pieces of paneer or some time you will find paneer and 1 or 2 pieces of mutter and gravy as tasteless as it could be. In the name of season veg you get " alu ki sabzi" all round the year as no seasonal veg is grown in country except alu. That too some times you will find uncooked or half boiled alu. The whole lunch platter is worst than hospital food as far as taste is concerned. Even though price is quoted as Rs.120 the pantry man will charge Rs.150 or some times Rs.180 without giving bill. Even though giving bill is mandatory.
It is high time the Railway take a look and start checking food for its taste and proper cooking. A surprise check by railways supervisor regarding taste and charges should be taken. The supervisor can travel as a passenger and check the price and quality of food. more

Govt has nothing todo with meals.it seems that contractors too don't mind daily complaints.IR and contractors have become habitual to note complaints. Why Govt is not arranging from Dhabas.Dal,Roti,Sabjee and rice only. more
