Media this week has been pathetic

What we have seen in the last 4 days is the most pathetic media of India who is just hungry for TRPs.

For the first day they pumped up everything saying how great India is. We surely are a great nation but they pumped up things to literally make unsubstantiated data as facts and then began the whatsap machinerly in full flow.

The next day was about Pak attack and how they try to hit our millitary installation. That was downplayed and then came Abhinandan, our braveheart who deserves all the praise. But to spend last 2 days just praising Abhinandan then his getting back and today welcoming Abhinandan is way too much.

they are driving people crazy. No doubt ,we must recognise Abhinandan but making that the only news for last 2 days and just pumping things rather than conveying facts is just terrible on media's part. I wish all this effort was spent in a constructive dialogue on how we much fight terrorism rather than tracking every move every minute. more

I am surprised to note that none wrote about the headlines in TOI next day of Pulwama attack, headline being "Govt blames Pak after local youth rams CRPF convoy with IED-packed SUV in worst terror hit on J&K forces". A phone call by one Lawyer from Mumbai to TOI shamed the staff for writing "local youth" whereas he was a terrorist. In India, press and electronic media is given excessive liberty of writing whatever they wish and yet go Scot free. They do not have any accountability. The Lawyer who made a phone call asked the staff if it was Time of India or Times of Pakistan. Now all our non-BJP politicians are also behaving like anti-nationals and pro Pakistan. The freedom given to media needs to be curbed. Remember during the terror attack of 26/11/2008 and the way Barkha Dutt had given live coverage based on which terror master mind from Pakistan were directing the terrorist and we lost many lives because of this. Why Barkha Dutt was not tried like Ajmal Kasab, atleast for abatement? I fully support the idea of putting restriction on media, both print and electronic. more
It is already high time the SC need to re visit their earlier Judgments on Press and Media since Journalistic performance had been getting lapsed. When it is the situation that participation of Convicts in Election increasing the Legislation Houses to carry those possess Criminal record CERTAINLY IT WILL RESULT IN FAILURE OF EVEN THE Print and Electronic Media which mostly shared by Businessmen and Political Supporters. more
One day i was seeing news, lady who is giving news says in moon one girl is setting and Nasa found her and name is Mangla that news channel belongs to india national channnel full chutiyapa more
I agree with Mr Azam Yusuf and Sandeep Khurana in that our media has proved itself to be immature as well as TRP thirsty. A repetition of some news was expected but that it was aired at the exclusion of all other news was definitely not acceptable. more

This is why, Supreme Court has to prefer under Suo-motu, this vitally most important public issue. more
