AMC rules

It should.first thing is that don't remember AMC date.we are supposed to remind them.
Second thing is , if for example, our AC is not working , they don't replace the part free of cost.
Third thing is, if they agree to replace, they,don't have in spare and ask to wait for months..
If service engineer , comes, a new fresher.
BIS should think of such problems and lay down standards . more

In this Covid 19 period i.e. from March 20 and is expected to last till Feb 21 i.e. approx 1year. Practically No AMC will be honoured may be from Service Provider or Service User.These AMCs must be extended by one year Free of Charge. more  
I do not think BIS has the responsibility to frame standards for AMC. However, consumer's affair ministry to frame rules in this regard. more  
Rules, which are interpreted at will by the service provider, and without any work ethics are totally unhelpful. more  
The AMCs are written in very small fonts, not clear to consumers. more  
Most Consumer Durables sold from Dealer Network Electronic stores offer extended Warranty besides the Regular 1 year warranty. In many cases immediately on expiry of 1 year term....as if on cue, the products start misbehaving. The Customer Service also press you to opt for Extended Warranty ( 3, 5 or 7 years) - listing out benefits. However if any part malfunctions, you still need to pay a discounted price (claimed by Service Center). more
