Make Railway platform height comfortable to board and alight train safely. safe height of platform should be 20 cm to 25 cm. But I have noticed few Railway station in Mumbai were platform height is maintained at 40 cm to 45 cm which is even not suitable to able person- forget about senior citizen and disable persons more

not the length of platform hight but to be provided the edge of stepping plate of train to be above the platform without the gap between the train and platform .Even slipped passengers can be protected without dropping between the train and platform. more

Some of lengthy express trains having 24 bogies are not provided the platforms. Last Guard Brakevan with half bogie alloted for ladies are stopping out of platform. the time is only1 or2 minutes for stopping the trains. The ladies with their luggage and children is impossible to detrain on uneven open place containing ballast withcrossed rails.Without extendeting the platforms the trains should not allow to stop such stations at-least considering aged women in ladies compartment which is last of the train. more
