With every change the jurisdiction of RPF commissioner changes. There is no system of informing the members of the status.
I had to struggle to get the remittances regularised for getting pension. I know of many people who were not aware of the procedure and find it difficult to contact different commissioners and get pension.
While the step if unique number is laudable, people find it difficult to get themselves registered on the website. more

Why EPF pension is very meagre, when compare to any state pension or family pension of state govts. more

Dear Rajiv Sir, The system is already online. However, one must have UAN number registered through your employee. Once you have UAN you will discover that process is now 1000 times better. You will be surprised I could consolidate and complete my transfers for all 8 companies with interest and I am happy now that i could discover amounts not transferred or missed and I could get all of them visible when i log into UAN. There is an online transfer system too, which is as effective. the older system is a yuck and sucks.. But now, I will appretiate and will call this as revolution in PF, may be it was critical for their survival. more

For those Sr citizens who get pension ,they have to give a Life Certificate every year.Govt has introduced scheme to get it online.But many old pensioners are living abroad with their children for a long period in a year .Its not easy for them to get life certificate .A jeevan Pramaan ID no is given with which they can log in and send online thum print or iris .but even for it when they log they will get OTP on registered cell no. Which means you need international roaming and a Finger Print Scanner and International roaming which is not available on prepaid cell nos.At least for OTP there should be option of getting it on cell or Registered email id. more

There should be employee verification system too, because many contractors/employers give fake details and register as their employees and when employee is saked / leaves, they withdraw the money. Sadly the employees in these cases are of lower wages, who are not aware of complete procedures. more
