Immediate required action must be taken before more children and adults are attacked by many stray dogs roaming around on the roads and streets. Whatever order is passed by the courts and the government in this regard, unless it's follwed and implemented by the agencies and people on the ground, it's of no use. Animal lovers should also realise that their love for the sreet dogs can't come in the way of implementing suitable preventive steps for the protection and welfare of the inocent persons. more
Mr Sanjay Singh has rightly pointed out that we do not infra structure to effectively carry out the Supreme Court ruling The facilities for housing and sterilizing starys will have to be created. This may take many years even if local authorities really act on the ruling. more
I am not going into right or wrong OR good or bad of judgement… but simply asking is it solution? The reality is that there is no infrastructure in place to manage such a huge population of strays whether dogs or cattle. Similarly outlawing feeding of strays will further aggravate the situation as any hungry living being including human being ,become highly aggressive and they are just animals…Also there is no owner of stray cattle so no chance of anyone to claim them. Yes, agree that Sterilisation is a proven method to handle this sensitive problem. With this resting my pen as not interested in any argument as this is my personal view.🙏 more
Good information and action more
So what is the solution ??? No infrastructure in place to keep stray in proper way !! We are living in civilised world and the solution should also be kind & humane the way it has been done in many nations in Europe and may be some other subcontinents more
So you object the ruling? People need to catch them and see if cattle owners come to get them. Stray dogs need to be sterilized to control the population. Feeding stray should also be out lawed. more
