Maintaining Waste/Dirty Spaces in a City

Below are some of your inputs on how waste/dirty spaces in a city can be effectively maintained. Kindly review and share any additional and specific inputs you may have that will help in establishing a model that can be deployed in most cities.

We look forward to your inputs!
Swachh Bharat Mission

Maintaining Waste and Dirty Spaces in a City

1. A list of all the waste and dirty places should be made by the municipalities
2. The garbage should be outsourced to private recycling companies for a fee to help them start up
3. These companies should also be made responsible to maintain the garbage area
4. While considering layouts of residential colonies, the municipalities can insist on earmarking particular spaces for dumping garbage
5. Fence could be put around the area and lighting could be arranged which gives good appearance
6. RWAs could be given a list of such areas around their colony and asked to keep them encroachment free and maintain them
7. Once these dirty places are cleaned the Residents should make sure that they do not spoil these places again
8. Local Corporator / Counsellor should be tasked to organise volunteer groups for the upkeep of these places
9. Many spaces are allotted for green space in the city and are generally located in front of big office buildings or near it. The city administration can develop it and hand it over to many companies who can maintain these places as a social responsibility
10. Municipal commissioners should closely work with large corporates in the city who can easily adopt some of the spaces from a renovation and ongoing up keep perspective and get branding or CSR credit in return.

No equipment of cleaning or Garbage collection shown in Jaipur which shown the eagerness of making success the campaign . The garbage collection system is as worst as earlier . there is no drive only Tv Ad. /paper ad. are coming noting on ground happen. more

Even though the government is collecting fund under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan from every possible way, it has never disclosed how much is spent for SBA. How money has been transferred to Local Authorities. The pathetic condition every says some other story. Will the govt. wake up give us the figures as to how much it has dispersed for SBA scheme or (scam). more
Have a heart man. It's been two long years since this particular endeavour was launched and it was supposed to be done on top priority. These people are still in the process of asking for inputs so that they can FINALISE A MODEL. Is our PM aware of this inefficiency? more
