Maintaining Service Center/Network on mandatory basis

It is so common that brands after selling their products for years shut down and shut down their service center network while customers have their product.

Latest to come in this category seems to be Bose. Yes the so called premium brand.

Why can’t Govt lay out a service provider brand registration system such that all brands when they come to India need to register like CRS type system and when they decide to stop selling In India need to maintain service network for a minimum of 3 years or higher of that and the warranty period.

Please share your views all.

Why there are so much support to the service provider - why there should not be a standard norms - why some of you raise objections in having a standard processes and quality checks ? I doubt on the integrity of those who objected. more  
The consumer affairs Ministry should look into such instances and take preventive steps. more  
I would disagree. I have experienced Bose service and it is best in class. My earbuds were nearing warranty expiry and that's when, unfortunately it encountered charging issue. When I raised the ticket with Bose, they tried to troubleshoot the issue but couldn't resolve it and hence they replaced the product with brand new one.
Each product comes to EoS (End-of-Sale) cycle followed by EoL (End-of-Life or End-of-Support) cycle and they regularly, as per rule, have to notify end users. more  
Some people are born to lie. If the author wanted to say she owns a Bose product, that is to get in to an elite class of owners of fine products. But it is now proved that she wants to gain fame by criticising a world renowned product. She should use the browse engine to find out more about the product before posting stupid comments. more  
The author still not answered by question of what was the product she wants to be serviced. Please name the gadget, the invoice no: and date, warranty card, and publish it here and I guarantee you immediate response. Photographs of the documents is required. more
