LPG shortages

LPG availability looks like a real problem. Even food vendors on street carts have increased the prices by 40% to 60%. Same holds good for tea shops. From what I hear, this is already having a strong impact on low income earners and migrant workers.

The LocalCircles survey also shows 10% are buying in black and black is 400-4000. 43% facing delays. What is the Government doing ?

Many illegal street food vendors, tea shopes and other unauthorised eateries have been promptinghigher price for LPG. The situation of LPG supplies become iratic due present turmoils. This situation paved way for serious checking and supply limitations, resulting disappearance of street vendors and eateries meant to Cater daily wagers, migrant workers returning to their home states. Restrictions on free availability of LPG may continue, even if situation returns to normalcy. All black marketing will be grounded. more
This is due to rumours of being shortage of lpg and petrol. But nothing has been done. Some pation was required by nation. All above was available at same price nothing increase.and have trust in government.even government has decreased duty on petro and diesel by rs 10.people rush to petrol pump and also for gas booking so it looks as shortage may be there. But now no shortage and no roumer. Everything is now in control. more
This is a temporary issue driven more by hoarding and erratic behaviour by some. There will be some supply constraint but it should not generally affect the country as supply inflows by far are steady. Unnecessary stocking and hoarding cause more problems. As far as PNG is concerned, that could be a long-term solution. Even in cities like Mumbai, Mahanagar Gas takes years before installing new connections. They don't have resources to expand beyond a point and that is another story. more
What is government doing? You have spoken like Rahul Gandhi. Remember LPG is not manufactured in Government factory, imported from other countries , because of Iran war it is happening. Has anyone faced LPG problem since 2014? No Don't try to be oversmart. Problems are faced by everyone across the world. Seems you are a blind supporter of ??? more
Looks like Indians have stopped using brains and keeping eyes closed to what is external environment is. We are not ready to compromise on comfort 'despite of knowing that there is limit to which govt. can do anything about this. We are far better than other countries and still cribbing will not stop. Chill that we still have supplies. more
