Loud speakers should be banned everywhere - all religious places, functions, election campaigns, etc. They create a lot of noise pollution and are very irritating. The worst affected are people who are not well and those who want to concentrate in some work. more
Very true. But most of the religious place use loudspeaker in odd hours. Will the competent authority be dare to take a right decision not to disturb people? more
Mr. Sharad Kant's suggestion seems to be most appropriate. (Loudspeakers should be used in such a way that the sound does not go outside _ _ _ _ _ premises/hall/hotel.) Public address sys/DJs at any event like processions, meetings, yatras, funerals, dandiya etc must restrain volume to 'permitted recommended' levels, preferably 4 to 6 db. If not obeyed; punish police along with users/hirers & operators of the sys. more
Loudspeakers should be used in such a way that the sound does not go outside the hall/premises. The loudspeaker sound should be controlled such that it does not disturb the people outside the premises/hall/hotel. Example, cinema has got big loudspeakers and the sound is very heavy but no sound goes outside the cinema hall. The rule/law should be applied equally to all the citizens of India. more
